Admissions

Admissions to the Skegness Academy

Pupils are admitted at the start of, and during, two main stages:

  • Secondary year 7 (age 11)
  • Secondary post-16 (age 16)

Admission numbers:

  • 200 full time places - year 7
  • 350 full time places - post 16 (including all year 11 pupils at the Academy who choose
    to stay on for their post 16 education)

For admission to secondary Year 7, in the year preceding admission, parents should apply using Lincolnshire County Council's Schools Admission process.

For all Year 8 - 11 admissions, please contact the Academy direct on 01754 879122 or complete the Admissions Application Form below and return it to the Academy. Applications can also be made directly to Lincolnshire County Council through the Mid-Year Admissions Team on 01522 553212.

For all Post-16 admissions, please contact the Sixth Form at the Skegness Academy or complete the Post-16 application form on our main Sixth Form page.

Appeals

If a parent’s/carer’s application for a place at the Academy is unsuccessful, they have the right of appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel. Appeals should be made within twenty (20) school days of the refusal.

You should contact the Academy to lodge an appeal, in writing and giving your reason for appeal. Please mark your envelope 'Admissions Appeal'.
