Skegness Academy

Sports Centre

The Skegness Sports Centre first opened its doors to the public in 1988 as a joint project between Lincolnshire County Council and East Lindsey District Council and was operated as a shared facility between students in the daytime and the public during evenings and weekends. At the end of 2010, the partnership ended when the Greenwood Dale Trust took over the running of the school.

From January 2011 Skegness Academy have proudly taken over the running of the sports centre and have continued to make the facility available to the community.

The facility has a large five court sports hall, seven outdoor netball courts, five outdoor tennis courts and a large sports field.

We also have a state of the art auditorium with tiered seating for an audience of 220 people.

Our most popular sports are badminton, indoor football and netball.

We also have various fitness classes running throughout the week.

We host various different national event weekends including children’s football and rugby festivals, junior and adult netball weekends and even baton twirling competitions.

Opening times are Monday to Thursday from 5:45pm to 10:15pm and Friday to Sunday by special request.

Cost for our most popular sports are:
Badminton - £9.50
Indoor Football - £35.00
Indoor Netball - £35.00
Table Tennis - £5.00
Outdoor Netball - £20.00
Sessions are 45 minutes long.

If you would like information on how to book or if you would like a tour of the facility, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
