We notice and appreciate other people’s actions, the opportunities we are offered and the world in which we live.

Craft, Design & Technology (KS3)

At the Skegness Academy, students in key stage three are offered craft, design and technology for an hour each week across years 7, 8 and 9. As part of their annual offer, students gain practical expertise and knowledge in Food and Nutrition, Design and Technology and Textile Design.

Our offer is built around the National Curriculum for Design and Technology. The curriculum takes into consideration fundamental skills and knowledge that students require to move on to future study in these areas, while taking into consideration the local context of the school and the need for transferable skills to be taught to support our them in being a successful member of the local community.
