Photography
GCSE Photography is a creative and practical course that encourages students to explore the world through a lens. Students develop skills in digital photography, image editing, and visual storytelling while investigating the work of both contemporary and historical photographers.
Throughout the course, students experiment with a range of photographic techniques, processes, and themes, learning how to plan, create, refine, and present their own personal responses. They will build a portfolio of work that demonstrates creativity, technical skill, and critical understanding.
The course is ideal for students who enjoy being creative, are curious about visual culture, and are keen to develop their artistic and digital skills. Photography provides a strong foundation for further study in art, design, media, and creative industries, while also helping students develop confidence, independence, and problem-solving skills.
