Arts & Culture Faculty
Our Faculty Intent
At Skegness Academy, the Arts and Culture Faculty consists of a range of different subject areas based within the arts and the IT, media and communication departments. Our curriculum is practical and vocational, developing skills and knowledge for the future through expression and creativity. Our aim is to prepare learners to be the new, innovative, professionals of the future through learning that nurtures confidence, achievement, and transferable work skills.
Arts and Culture education at Skegness Academy recognises the barriers that pupils may face that prevents them from achieving their potential. The specialist, practical and vocational nature of our subjects means that pupils can overcome these barriers in a variety of different ways, finding support and reassurance that their mistakes are learning opportunities and their successes can be celebrated. The local context of Skegness Academy means that experiencing a broad and culturally, rich curriculum will continue to develop and support the social and economic future of our town.
