PE KIT – For all Secondary years

KS3 Dance- Leggings, shorts or tracksuit bottoms. Plain black t-shirt/SKA PE t-shirt or the SKA Dance and PA t-shirt. Bare foot or grip socks only. 

KS4 and KS5 BTEC Dance and Performing Arts- Leggings, shorts or tracksuit bottoms. SKA Dance & PA t-shirt.  Girls dance leotards (optional). Mainly work in bare foot or foot thongs. Other optional dance footwear may be needed during study of different styles of dance. SKA Dance & PA hoodies are optional. 

SKA Dance and PA t-shirts and hoodies to be ordered through the dance department. 

SKA Starz (Gifted and Talented Dance group) T-shirt and hoodies to be ordered through the department. 

  • Black SKA polo shirt.
  • Black SKA hooded sweatshirt.
  • Black shorts, jogging bottoms or leggings.
  • Suitable trainers or other PE footwear

For students who study L3 BTEC Sport (extended diploma) will be given the option to purchase Academy sports kit to wear in place of the uniform above.

Shoes, for all students, should be plain black (no coloured flashes, coloured soles or logos) and suitable for school - flat soled or with no more than half an inch at the front of the heel.

It is advisable that clothing is clearly marked with the student’s name in case of loss.

We allow students to wear one stud per ear for those with pierced ears. No other jewellery or body piercings are allowed. No accessories to nails including acrylics, varnishes, gels, jewels etc.

Hair should be clean and well kept - extreme or unusual styles/ unnatural colours are not acceptable.

Make-up should be subtle, if worn. Any student wearing excessive make-up will be asked to remove it.

The Principal will have the final decision on the definition of extreme/unusual/unnatural hairstyles and make-up.
